A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello everyone! My name is Alicia Eisenhauer and I am the middle school math teacher here at Tamaroa Grade School. I am thrilled to work in the school where I grew up and I am so grateful to have, what I believe as, the best job in the world. I have worked with all age levels and I love coming to work each day. I am excited to work with you and get to know each and every one of you better. MY EDUCATION I attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where I received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in middle school mathematics. I did a year of student teaching in a fifth grade classroom at Lewis Elementary in Carbondale's District #95. I was a substitute teacher for two years in various school districts, a long-term substitute at Woodlawn as a middle school math teacher, and I have also taken part in a 3 year ISTEM grant specializing in mathematics. |
MY INTERESTS
I am the mother of two amazing children! I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I greatly enjoy watching them play the sports they love. Math is my favorite subject and I enjoy helping students see the beauty of finding the answers hidden within mathematics.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My beliefs are short and simple, I believe that if someone is willing to do something or learn or grow then everyone can succeed, everyone can grow. It is my goal to show my students that they too can accomplish anything they set their mind to, and to help guide them along that path.
